This slide set “Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings-Core” and accompanying speaker notes provide an overview of many of the basic principles of infection control that form the basis for the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings — 2003.
This slide set can be used for education and training of infection control coordinators, educators, consultants, and dental staff (initial and periodic training) at all levels of education.

Additional slides for each section of the document will be developed and may be used in conjunction with the core slides. This presentation and supplemental slides may be broken into separate sections, depending on the trainees’ level of experience and knowledge, previous training, level of interest in specific topics, and the amount of time available.
