Green Goods and Services
The CEC has developed a series of online Green Goods and Services Databases for Canada, Mexico and the United States. These databases are intended to serve as a clearinghouse mechanism that provides transparent information on eco-labeling, certification schemes and other relevant environmental guidelines for coffee, "green" electricity and sustainable tourism.
Coffee Certification Program Database
The Coffee Certification Database provides information to those interested in organic, shade and fair trade coffee labeling and certification schemes. Its goal is to compile the most comprehensive and up-to-date list of coffee certification programs.
Electricity and Environment Database
The Electricity and Environment Database is part of CEC's effort to provide information relating to the "Environmental Challenges and Opportunities of the Evolving Continental Electricity Market" and the green goods and services certification project. The database deals with measures which target electricity production as well as those promoting its efficient consumption.
Sustainable Tourism Resource Database
The Sustainable Tourism Resource Database is a searchable resource containing information on tourism services and facilities in North America that link tourism activities with the conservation of natural areas. The database includes over 50 certification schemes, guidelines, codes of conduct or charters that are relevant to the sustainable tourism market in North America.
