IFOAM works with a variety of internationally significant organizations whose missions overlap with the mission of IFOAM.
IFOAM's involvement with the
International Federation of Alternative Trade, The International Social
and Environmental Labeling Alliance (ISEAL) and the World Conservation
Union (IUCN) contributes to the achievement of IFOAM's mission by
increasing the recognition of the role organic agriculture plays in:
- Protecting the rights of consumers
- Supporting a more sustainable model for trade
- Conserving nature and biodiversity
- Implementing social and environmental standards and labeling processes
IFOAM recognizes the importance of working with other international organizations to achieve a sustainable future.
