On January 1, 2009, the name of the New Hampshire Estuaries Project was changed to the Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP). The new name best describes the cooperative approach to addressing water resource issues in the organization's focus area, which was expanded in 2008 to include all of the Hampton-Seabrook and Great Bay Estuary Watersheds. The PREP now works in 42 communites in New Hampshire and 10 communties in Maine to improve water quality and protect and restore important habitats. See map of the PREP Focus Area

The Land Conservation Plan for New Hampshire's Coastal Watershed

The Nature Conservancy, in partnership with the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, Rockingham Planning Commission and Strafford Regional Planning Commission, identify conservation priorities throughout the NH coastal watersheds using existing data on significant natural resource features, predictive GIS modeling, existing conservation plans, and local expert and public review. The Plan includes several natural resource maps of the NH coastal watersheds, including forest ecosystems, freshwater systems, coastal and estuarine resources, critical plant and wildlife habitat, and conservation focus areas.
