Following-up on our recent invitation to participate in the 1999
Regular Session of the Council of the CEC to be held from 27 to 29 June 1999 in Banff,
Alberta, Canada, we are pleased to provide you with additional information.
This year, members of the public are invited to attend a number of
sessions that will take place during the Council session. The agenda of the Council
session is attached for your information. As a registered participant you will be able to
attend the public portion of the Council session as well as a round table discussion which
will give you an opportunity to discuss and provide input into the future work of the CEC.
You are also invited to attend the regular session of the JPAC as observer. Attached you
will find the provisional program of events opened to the public as well as a
preregistration form.
Preregistration and Financial Assistance
Should you wish to attend the public sessions, please fill out and
submit the attached preregistration form to the CEC, no later than 27 May 1999.
Limited financial assistance is available for not-for-profit organizations. Please refer
to the attached preregistration form for additional information on how to apply. Please
note that to be eligible for financial assistance, your preregistration form and relevant
information must be received at the offices of the CEC no later than 6 May 1999.
Meeting material
Additional information, such as the provisional agenda of the JPAC
regular session and meeting material for the round table discussion will be sent to
preregistered participants as it becomes available. These documents will also be available
on the CEC home page at http://www.cec.org under the
"What's New" section or upon request.
