Start the New Year with Some Web-Based Training!

hands typing on a keyboardIf it’s been awhile since you last worked in Cascade Server, you may be a little rusty on some basic skills. Or, perhaps your new year’s resolutions include learning how to accomplish a new task – without waiting for a regularly scheduled online class. Fortunately, web-based training resources for learning Cascade Server are now available!

Web-based training allows you to learn at your own pace and as your schedule permits. Modules have been posted online and are available for you to view at any time, 24/7.  You can pause or go forward or backward, and at the end of the module you can even click on the replay button to watch it again.

All you need is about 10 minutes of time, an Internet connection, and either speakers or a headset. So what are you waiting for, an engraved invitation?

Currently posted modules including:

  • Introduction to the Cascade Server Content Management System;
  • Creating Anchors;
  • Creating a New Web Page; and
  • Linking Files to Your Web Page

are available via the Cascade Server/ Web Support page … and more modules are being added all the time.

And don’t forget to check out our other online courses, which are currently being offered via Centra, simply visit http://www.agnr.umd.edu/training/.

Questions about the web-based training or the classes can be addressed to Sue Johnston, IET’s trainer/web developer, at sbj@umd.edu.
