Man sues rapper for injuries

Eds: APNewsNow.

Fargo, N.D. (AP) A man says he's entitled to damages for facial injuries he suffered after a rapper tossed a pop bottle into the crowd during a 2007 concert in Fargo.

John Antonelli of Fargo says in lawsuit that Joseph Bruce was negligent when he threw a two-liter bottle into the audience.

Antonelli says the bottle broke a bone near his right eye.

Bruce's stage name is Violent J. He's the lead performer for the rap band Insane Clown Posse.

Antonelli is seeking at least $50,000 in damages. He's also suing Playmakers night club, which is now known as The Hub.

An attorney for Playmakers says that only Bruce should be held liable. Bruce has not responded to the complaint.

Posted by Skooby Doo on Jan 4 2009 6:23PM - Ok so to clear this up for some of you normal folks who've never heard of the Insane Clown Posse (ICP). I'm about 100% positive that he got hit in the face with a bottle of Faygo. How am I so sure you ask? Well because through out their entire performance at every single show they do, they do nothing but throw Faygo bottles. It's kind of what they do, and everyone in the building knows it. To go to a ICP show means you are going to be pelted by bottles and be soaked by the end. Mr. Antonelli had to have know this before he went to the concert. This is one the groups trademark themes at every show. And last I knew there was something on the back of every ticket that says you assume all responsabilty if you are injured.
