Returning Veterans and Behavioral Health
Returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan face many challenges when they return home-including substance abuse and mental health issues. SAMHSA and the Department of Health and Human Services collaborated with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to cosponsor the 2008 conference.
