Market Adoption

The Market Adoption track is chaired by Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary for Market Access and Compliance David Bohigian.

This track of the conference focuses on the market adoption of renewable energy. Participants will consider issues such as: how can public-sector resources and policy best be applied to leverage private-sector resources to support the development of sustainable private markets? What are the supply/distribution and demand infrastructure issues, and how can they be effectively addressed? What market mechanisms; business and public policies; and business, market and governmental structures can be used to optimize the meeting of supply and demand and produce tangible results? How best can we deal with the risks associated with whether markets can be obtained, sustained and improved over time? Are there social or cultural issues and barriers, and if so, how can they be addressed? Are there any consumer acceptance issues with regard to technologies or renewable fuels?

For more information, or to submit suggestions, please contact Brian O'Hanlon at Brian.OHanlon@Mail.doc.gov or 202-482-3492.
