Samples Over 50 different peer-evaluated fats- and oils-related performance-based (consensus) reference materials are now available. These samples have been analyzed by participants in the AOCS LPP and are shipped with reports that include the mean value and standard deviation derived for various constituent components. The reference samples include oilseeds and meals, fats and oils, marine oils, specialty oils suitable for the determination of trans fatty acids, aflatoxins, cholesterol, and trace metals, as well as formulations for feed microscopy and nutritional labeling.Following is technical information for AOCS reference samples including types of samples, size of samples, number of chemists who have analyzed each sample (n), analyses performed on each sample, and method used for each analysis.
