President George W. Bush makes remarks at the 2008 WIREC Conference held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. President George W. Bush: "I've come today to tell you that America is the kind of country that when they see a problem, we address it head-on. I've set a great goal for our country, and that is to reduce our dependence on oil by investing in technologies that will produce abundant supplies of clean and renewable energy, and at the same time show the world that we're good stewards of the environment."
