Human Nutrition and Metabolism Fellowship

Tufts University offers a two-to-four-year NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship program in human nutrition and metabolism. This program is designed to provide medical, dental, veterinary or other graduate level health professionals, as well as selected Ph.D.s, with postdoctoral training in nutritional science. Approximately twenty percent of the trainee's experience is devoted to nutrition related clinical activities; the remainder is spent pursuing a research program. Research opportunities range widely from evidence-based medicine to basic molecular mechanisms. Fellows have the option of obtaining a Ph.D. in nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition, Science and Policy at Tufts University during the course of their training, the tuition for which is paid entirely by the program. The express purpose of this program is to produce the outstanding clinical nutrition scientists of tomorrow. For further information contact Joel Mason, M.D., fellowship director.
