Advanced Technology Labs

Adobe’s Advanced Technology Labs create innovative technologies that can be incorporated into Adobe’s software products for consumers, creative professionals, developers, and enterprises. While that mission sounds simple enough, it takes a special mix of committed leadership, passionate employees, and trust in the creative process to make it all happen.

TECHNOLOGIES

Graphics & Imaging

ATL’s graphics and imaging research scientists are forging new directions for Adobe technology in computational photography and video, automated adaptive layout, hardware-accelerated image processing and rendering, non-photorealistic rendering, computational listening (audio), computer vision, and many other graphics and imaging areas.

Documents & Systems

ATL’s documents and systems research scientists are leading the way for rapid change in document, application and systems technologies. Documents are becoming internet-connected, interactive media with dynamically changing content and presentation, incorporating application-like functionality. Rich internet applications are emerging as hybrids of desktop and web applications. Software systems/services are performing ever more complex function, thus enabling the rapid creation of new products, services and business models.
