The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Force Marianas Guam, is warning the public that the U.S. military would be conducting aerial flare deployment on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla today, Jan. 16, 2009, from 9am to 6pm.
The location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla training area (R7201) on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to this activity, EMO is advising the general public-especially fishermen commercial pilots and marine tour operators-to take precautionary measures around this area during the time and date indicated.
