I started at Shasta College in Spring 2005 as a home school student with very little idea of where I wanted to go in life. After taking a wide variety of classes and discussing my goals with a Shasta College counselor, I decided that I wanted to major in dental hygiene. Fortunately, Shasta has a great dental hygiene program located in downtown Redding. I am currently taking my last prerequisite course and will be applying to the dental hygiene program next semester. I couldn't have succeeded without the amazing teachers I've had, and the free tutoring available in the math and science learning centers.
