Welcome! The Suwannee Information Gateway responds to priorities set by managers, researchers and basin residents to develop a watershed resource information tool (download PDF). The Information Gateway page takes us one step closer to science coordination and integrated information management.
The Suwannee River has been identified as an ecosystem in need of protection because of its unique biota and important water resources. Coordinated research and management is needed to address increasing urbanization in the basin, water demands, water contamination and cross-jurisdictional issues.
The Information Gateway endeavors to raise awareness of the Suwannee watershed by providing visualization and mapping tools to the general public. This set of web-based tools provides information on basin resources across jurisdictional and geographic boundaries. |

Visualization Tool Get a bird's-eye view of the Suwannee River Basin with a new visualization tool. Take a tour of the Lower Suwannee watershed, starting at Falmouth Springs and following the river to the Gulf of Mexico. This tool utilizes Keyhole Markup Language (kml) files in Google Earth to outline basin boundaries, points of interest, and important features. |
