Prytherch named 2009 outstanding professor
David Prytherch, assistant professor of geography, was named Miami University's Outstanding Professor for 2009. Prytherch was among 32 faculty nominated by graduating seniors for the award, presented by Associated Student Government (ASG). He was recognized at the Senior Last Lecture held May 1.

Cecilia Berg named Miami's Sigma Xi Outstanding Educator
Cecilia Berg has received the Miami University Sigma Xi Award for Outstanding Educator in Science, Math and Engineering. Berg is assistant director of the Center for Environmental Education, Natural History and Conservation and senior project director for the Hefner Zoology Museum.

Two Miami University graduate students and one alumna received awards for their work at the "Best of 2009" annual juried members' exhibition sponsored by Ohio Designer Craftsmen.
