Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE
Eye Contact: (Part A-Epoxy): Product is moderately irritating to the eyes.
Ingestion: Product is generally considered to have a low order of acute oral toxicity. (Part B-Polyamide): Liquid causes severe irritation with chemical burns of the cornea. Vapor may produce transient corneal edema with fogging of vision.
Skin Contact: (Part A-Epoxy): Product is moderately irritating to the skin. Product may cause skin sensitization. Skin sensitization (allergy) may be evidenced by rashes, especially hives. (Part B-Polyamide): Prolonged or widespread contact could result in the skin absorption of potentially harmful amounts of material. Product produces severe irritation and may cause burns.
Inhalation: (Part B-Polyamide): Low concentrations may produce irritation causing cough, chest discomfort, and difficulty with breathing. High concentrations may produce lung injury.

Other Health Information (Part B-Polyamide): The main hazards with this material are due to its intensely irritating and corrosive properties. There is no specific antidote and patients should be managed according to their clinical condition. Care should be taken if it is judged necessary to evacuate the contents of the stomach. Aspiration of the substance will cause severe lung injury.

Other Health Information (Part B-Polyamide): Exposure to high concentrations of vapor may cause minor transient corneal edema. This condition, referred to as "Blue Haze" or "Glaucopsia," produces a fogging of vision. The effect disappears spontaneously within a few hours of the end of an exposure.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Other Health Information (Part A-Epoxy): Pre-existing skin allergies may increase the chance of developing increased allergy symptoms from exposure to this product. Pre-existing skin and eye disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product.
Other Health Information (Part B-Polyamide): Repeated skin exposure may cause allergic contact dermatitis.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
CARCINOGENICITY (Epoxy Resin):
Chronic studies: Recent 2-year bioassays in mice exposed by the dermal route to epoxy resin. The diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A (DGEBPA), or to resins predominantly of DGEBPA have yielded very limited evidence of weak carcinogenicity. DGEBPA is a component of the resin in this product. The authors of this work concluded that the renal tumor evidence with this resin "was of no biological significance" and that the resin "is not a systemic carcinogen when applied to the dorsal skin of CF 1 mice." IARC concluded that DGEBPA was not classifiable as a carcinogen (IARC Group 3) based on the following: Human and animal evidence both inadequate.
First Aid: From MSDS
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Eye Contact: Flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes while lifting upper and lower lids. Get immediate medical attention.
Skin contact: In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water for 15 minutes. Launder clothing before reuse. Contaminated leather articles, including shoes, cannot be decontaminated and should be destroyed.
