From the President of NCAFGC:            

               The U. S. National Arboretum, home of The National Capital Area Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., is facing a $2 million cut in the current budget.  NCAFGC members are encouraged to print out, sign and send each of the two letters included in this site.  These letters, one to the Senate and one to the House of Representatives, encourage refunding the Arboretum at the level it was funded last year.  Your help in supporting this NCAFGC effort is greatly appreciated.  You should also be aware that  other Stakeholders of the U. S. National Arboretum (including FONA, National Bonsai Foundation, National Turfgrass Federation and American Society of Landscape Architects members) are also writing to encourage restoration of these vital funds.
