In support of the Grants Streamlining Initiative (Public Law 106-107), Grants.gov fosters conformance to standardized forms for cross government use to help Federal grant making agencies build a more consolidated, uniform grant policy and process environment. Working with Federal grant-makers, Grants.gov developed PureEdge-based grant application forms enabling applicants to apply electronically through Grants.gov. With over a thousand electronic grant applications published, Grants.gov provides agencies with the repository of electronic grant application forms.

From standard forms approved for government-wide use by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to forms developed and used by other grant programs, agencies can leverage existing forms and form components that Grants.gov may already have in its inventory to:

• Quickly and relatively easily publish grant program applications for electronic submission
• By-pass the need to complete complex data analysis reviews and documentation
• Eliminate the need for the time-consuming forms clearance process – taking upwards of 120 days, multiple Federal Register notices, and response to public comments

Government-Wide Approved Standard SF-424*

The SF-424 was established as the core government-wide standard data set and cover sheet form. From the base SF-424 form, several additional coversheets and forms to address grant information needs for grant programs requiring less applicant information and specific applicant communities applying to mandatory, research and related, and individual program grants.

Each SF-424 Form identified below, includes the Application Coversheet, Application Forms, Form Data Analysis Templates, and Form Schema:

The Grants.gov Forms Repository contains electronic grant application forms developed for various Federal grant-making agencies to be used in conjunction with the SF- 424 forms.
