Where is Fort Pulaski?
Fort Pulaski is located 15 miles east of Savannah, Georgia off U.S. Highway 80 East.

Can I tour the fort?
Fort Pulaski is open year-round offering guided and self-guided tours.

Is there a park fee?
Fort Pulaski National Monument charges $3.00 per adult. Children 15 and under free. Valid Federal Recreation passes are accepted.

Are pets allowed at Fort Pulaski?
Pets are allowed at Fort Pulaski as long as they are on a leash. Pets not permitted inside Visitor Center.

Is there a picnic area at Fort Pulaski?
Covered and outdoor picnic areas are available during regular park hours. No reservations required or accepted.

Is there a beach at Fort Pulaski?
At low tide, small beach areas are available along the north channel of the Savannah River.

Is there food and lodging near Fort Pulaski?
The nearest restaurants, convenience stores, and hotels are located on Tybee Island and Wilmington Islands.

Is fishing allowed at Fort Pulaski?
Fishing is permitted inside the park, including use of the Cockspur Island Bridge after hours. Valid fishing license required.

Are there areas to bicycle at Fort Pulaski?
There are numerous trails both paved and unpaved to bicycle. Please be safe while in the park.

Is there a lighthouse nearby?
There are two lighthouses within the vicinity of Fort Pulaski National Monument. The Cockspur Island Lighthouse is part of the park and is open to the public, though access is limited due to water and terrain. The Tybee Lighthouse is located five miles east of Fort Pulaski and is operated independently from the park.

Does the park offer any cannon firings?
Fort Pulaski has an active black powder program and presents hourly cannon firings and musket demonstrations every Saturday.

Fort Pulaski National Monument's park headquarters are located in the historic Cockspur Island Quarantine Station. Constructed in 1891, the house has also served as living quarters for park staff. Fort Pulaski National Monument, Georgia
