IAP2 is an association of members who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments, institutions, and other entities that affect the public interest in nations throughout the world. Results of Board of Directors Election

Elected to serve on the 2009 Board for three years are:

Desley Renton, Australia; Deborah Eastlick, Canada; Stephanie Boone-Shaw, USA; Geoff Wilson, Canada; Mitch Bishop, USA and they will also be joined by Australasian Affiliate nominee Kimbra White, Australia.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Erin Browning, Nicky Leggatt, Audra Thomas, Rachael Siddall, Noreen Rude and Jeffrey Evans, who offered their skills and experience to IAP2 as potential Board members.

IAP2 is seeking an editor to lead, manage, and further develop a three-year old online, peer reviewed journal with an international audience. The mission of the IJP2 is to foster integration and dialogue within the professional field of public participation across its different traditions and related disciplines and to bridge theory and practice.

Many of you are aware that IAP2 recently conducted an international search for a new Executive Director. That search has successfully come to an end, and it is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Moira Deslandes as the new Executive Director of IAP2.
