Stokes Seeds
Wayne
Gale's grandfather purchased the
Canadian arm of the original Stokes Seed
Company in 1934. Since then, the Gales
have built Stokes Seeds into an
international distributor of high
quality vegetable and flower seed. Wayne

business when he was 10 years old and
started working at the company’s
research farm. After graduting from
university, Wayne joined Ottawa-based
DMR & Associates, one of Canada’s
largest data processing consulting
firms. In 1983, Wayne moved back home to
join the family business. At Stokes
Seeds, he has held the position of Data
Processing Manager, Controller,
Distribution Manager and now President.
He has served as President of the
Canadian Seed Trade Association, two
terms as a Regional Vice-President of
the American Seed Trade Association,
President of the All American Selection

ASTA Legal & Legislative Concerns
committee, and as a board member of the
