The Green Guide

The Green Guide: Becoming a Green Visitor
The experiences and memories that you gain when traveling can be richly rewarding— but what you give back to the destinations that you visit can enrich the experience even further!

Click Here to Download Your Copy of The Green Guide to Greater Madison 2008.

This 40-page magazine-style guide, containing essential information on places to explore, the area’s green resources and feature articles on Madison’s green legacy and businesses, was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

The Green Guide offers visitors helpful information on everything from how to navigate the city by mass transit, bicycle or rideshare, where to dine locally, where to stay, and the places to go to enjoy the area’s varied ecosystems. Beyond that, The Green Guide contains topical events calendars and is loaded with content about the area’s cultural heritage, regional flavors and the community resources and programs in action.
