Visitor & Information Programs
As the gateway to the UW-Madison campus, Visitor & Information Programs (VIP) serves as the central access point for visitors, students, faculty and staff for answering questions, locating information and navigating UW–Madison and the surrounding community. Visit the Welcome Center, a state-of-the art, one-stop center for campus and community visitor information, at 21 N. Park St.



The Basics: Finding Madison
Madison is located in south central Wisconsin, and is accessible via several major highways. Madison is a:
1-1/2 hour drive from Milwaukee (via I-94), a
2-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90), or a
4-1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via I-94).
