bullet Overweight and Obese Patients:  What Providers Need to Know

This continuing medical education (CME) program provides "cutting edge" research information on overweight and obesity that can be readily put into practice. Providers will learn when to ACT (Assess, Classify, and Treat their patients) and why; how to incorporate appropriate treatment options into practice; and special issues related to ethnic minority populations including strategies to tailor treatment programs to meet their needs. This CME program is one in a series of 10 NIH "Bench to Bedside" programs--# 5 in the list. Physicians may receive 1.5 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
