The Restoration Marketplace was envisioned, created, and is maintained by Restore America's Estuaries, a coalition of coastal and estuarine restoration organizations. Restore America's Estuaries and its 11 member organizations throughout the country are committed to working to reach the 1 million acre goal by 2010. This goal has also been placed in federal statute through the Estuary Restoration Act of 2000. We invite you to join us in the process of working to Restore America's Estuaries to full ecosystem health and vitality! The mission and objectives of the Restoration Marketplace are as follows: MISSION To bring together all sectors of the coastal habitat restoration community to provide the resources and relationships needed to restore one million acres of coastal and estuarine habitat by 2010. OBJECTIVES Provide comprehensive resources for all sectors of the coastal habitat restoration community, including information about restoration related products and services, funding opportunities, current news, jobs, event and volunteer opportunities. Track national progress toward the goal of restoring One Million Acres of coastal and estuarine habitat by the year 2010. Provide opportunities for different sectors of the restoration community to gain access to one another and forge enduring and mutually-beneficial relationships that further their shared goals of habitat restoration.
