This Will Be The Last Update On The Sayre Fire
An investigative team is asking for the public's assistance to help establish the cause of the Sayre fire which started on November 14, 2008. Investigators have spoken to witnesses, but are still seeking additional information that may assist with the ongoing investigation into the fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Los Angeles Fire Department "Tip" line at (213) 485-6095.
Fire Situation: Firefighters continued today to patrol the fire lines in Placerita Canyon looking for any hot spots with in the perimeter of the fire. Firefighters will patrol the area for the next few days to ensure that the fire does not re-ignite and escape existing fire lines.
Evacuation Centers: The American Red Cross has closed the evacuation center at Sylmar High School.
Animal Evacuations: Large animals may be picked up by owners at Hansen Dam Equestrian Center. Small animals may be picked up at the located at West Valley, East Valley and Mission Shelter.
