Hallmark/Westland Beef Recall – Where to Find Information

Local program operators of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) with questions about the Hallmark/Westland meat recall can find answers through their State Distributing Agency (SDA) (for NSLP and CSFP) or FDPIR Indian Tribal Organization (ITO) contacts (for FDPIR).

SDAs and ITO contacts routinely receive updated information from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), and serve as local program operators’ primary source of information.

SDAs and ITO contacts also convey questions to FNS on behalf of local operators. While general information is provided by FNS, unique State-specific issues pertaining to product identification, disposal requirements, destruction forms, and all other information are facilitated by the SDAs and ITO contacts.

Contact information for the National School Lunch Program and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program SDA representatives can be found at: http://www.fns.usda.gov/fdd/contacts/sdacontacts.htm.

Representatives for the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations can be found at: http://www.fns.usda.gov/fdd/contacts/fdpir-contacts.htm.
