Ozone Season Ends for Some States

Release Date: 11/1/2008

Sunlight and hot weather cause ground-level ozone to form in harmful concentrations in the air. As a result, it is known as a summertime air pollutant. Ozone Season for many states is May - September. Ozone data and forecast will stop October 2008 and resume May 2009 for these areas.
