POSITION:
Seed
Lab Technician
Position responsibilities
- Primary Responsibility
will be daily testing of vegetable seed for germination and
physical purity according to AOSA or ISTA rules in our
Trevose, Pa Seed Lab.
- Perform data entry of
Quality Assurance information into our Inventory Control
System.
- Review current test
methods and recommend or implement these improvements.
- May be involved in other
areas related to Quality Assurance.
- Coordinate maintenance and
keep appropriate records of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in maintaining test
records and Seed Samples records for the seed lab.
- Various other duties may
be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in
Agriculture or any related field is preferred.
- Certified Viability
Technologist and preferred Certified Purity Technologist
desired. Consideration may be given to candidates interested
in or desires obtaining RST, CVT and CPT training.
- Demonstrate knowledge of
germination, vigor and physical purity testing of various
classes of vegetable seed.
- No relocation assistance
is provided for this position.
