Manager Flowers, Eastern Europe
Takii Europe B.V. is the European division of Takii &
Company Ltd., based in Kyoto, Japan. Over the past 170 years,
Takii & Company Ltd. has built up a worldwide network, based
upon Japanese fundamentals and is a major global player within
the flower and vegetable seed industry.
The core tasks of the company include the breeding, production
and sale of a wide assortment of flower and vegetable seeds for
the professional grower. Takii has European branches in the
Netherlands, France and Denmark and its European head office is
located in De Kwakel. As a result of the recent acquisition of
K. Sahin, Zaden B.V. and Global Flowers A/S, Takii’s product
range has grown considerably and major investments have been
made in office, logistics and distribution facilities in De
Kwakel. We are currently seeking employees to further expand our
team of professionals, so that we can convert the new
opportunities within the various markets into profit.
Role
New business development
-
You achieve the ambitious
growth objectives for the Eastern European market of the
entire Takii flower seed range, which now also includes the
varieties of the recently purchased Sahin and Global
Flowers.

You do this by building up and
maintaining a high quality distribution network by means of
intensive personal relationships.

You collect and analyse market
data, on the basis of which Marketing & Sales strategies are
drawn up.

You will shape the commercial
policy within the various countries in collaboration with
the distributors.

Furthermore, you will provide
major input into the product management.
-
You will report to the Manager
Marketing & Sales Flowers.

Job requirements
-
Demonstrates a level of
working and thinking that is representative of a higher
education.

Several years’ working
experience within a commercial role in the agricultural or
horticultural sector.

Knowledge, experience and/or
affinity with horticulture and floriculture is a particular
advantage.
-
Excellent verbal and written
communication skills in English. Knowledge of German and
Eastern European languages is preferred.

Prepared to travel
internationally.
