Station Manager Lead - Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)

their leading position Seminis operates 51 R&D Stations
worldwide.
Function
Facilitating and
coordinating all operational R&D activities in EMEA and
ensuring effective and efficient work area for breeding and
support sciences in order to optimize output.
- Planning, organizing and
control of all R&D operations at 8 R&D Stations in EMEA.
- Coordination, management
and control of OPEX and CAPEX (budget, monthly reporting,
forecast and Long Range Plan).
- Delegating authority to,
supervising and setting goals for direct reports (R&D
Station Managers). People management and development.
Assisting in ensuring efficient use of human resources.
- Responsible for
Environment, Safety and Health (ESH). Work closely with
Finance, ESH, HR and IT leadership on safety initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver
presentations at executive level.
- Encouraging an
entrepreneurial, change-oriented and team-based spirit.
- Development of plans and
programs to improve operations to ensure maximum output.
Profile
People and result oriented
manager with excellent organizational skills in a complex
international environment.
Job Requirements
- PhD or MSc with equivalent
experience in an appropriate agronomic field.
- More than five years of
R&D and/or operational experience in a complex organization
in an international agricultural or horticultural
environment.
- Verbal and written
communications skills in English, knowledge of additional
languages (Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian) is an
advantage.
- Affinity with agriculture
and/or horticulture.
- The position requires
availability to travel (30-40%).
