Vibha Group is looking for suitable profiles for an Plant Pathologist position.

Job profile

• Coordinate with breeders to plan and execute pathology research programs on priority crops.

• Associate in screening programs to develop appropriate technologies related for identifying resources of resistance to diseases.

• Maintenance of laboratory and greenhouses relevant to plant pathology experiments and breeding programs.

• Developing innovative methods in disease resistance research.

• Collaboration with breeders, biotechnologies for advancing the new traits.

• Conducting field trials, data collection and analysis and preparing summary reports.

• Use new techniques.

Essential qualifications

• M Sc (Ag) in Plant Pathology with minimum 3-5 years experience in the relevant field. Or

• Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from a reputed institute with 1-2 years of experience in seed company or public institution 

• Must be well trained in all modern methods of plant pathology with good analytical ability.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to work in a multidisciplinary team of breeders, biotechnologist, as a motivated team member.

• Good computer knowledge.

Additional qualification

• Experience in a similar position is an advantage.
