Development Manager, East Europe & Central Asia

Seminis, the vegetable seeds division of Monsanto, is the
largest developer, grower and marketer of fruit and vegetable
seeds in the world. We are seeking a dynamic professional to
join our Area Management Team, based in our Budapest office.
Job Purpose
This role
is responsible for the overall management and development of
Technology Development in East Europe & Central Asia market
for all crops. The successful candidate will work in close
cooperation with Commercial Area Lead, Area Finance Lead and
Area Marketing Lead and in close cooperation with the TD
Crop Lead and will report to the Technology Development
Director EMEA. Extensive travel within the area and
occasionally to other areas is part of this job.
Main tasks and responsibilities

In charge
of the development strategy of the Area

Regional
strategy implementation
-
Product
development excellence and execution
-
Technical
support of Area business strategy and results
-
Manage
and align technical resources and workload with business
imperatives
-
Management and development of Area Technology Development
personnel
-
Execute
people development strategy (training, development, hiring,
DP&R)
-
Business
Team technical leadership (support sales with trainings)
-
Safety
and regulatory compliance (increase awareness, training)
Requirements
-
Educated
to degree level in agronomics (PHD is a +)
-
5 years
experience in agronomics, preferable horticulture;
-
Experience in team management required with a focus on cross
functional teams
-
Ability
to build relationship and execute in a complex and broad
geography, with a focus on operational excellence.

Sound
planning and analytical capabilities

Excellent
communication, interpersonal & organizational skills

Ability
to manage multiple tasks

Intensive
travels

Fluent in
English

Other
Eastern European language is a pre

Ability
