The NIH is pleased to announce the opening of an exhibit in honor of Drs. Thressa and Earl Stadtman, biochemists who have worked at the NIH since 1950. The exhibit, entitled, "The Stadtman Way: A Tale of Two Biochemists at NIH," highlights the Stadtmans' achievements in science and their important contributions to the NIH intramural scientific community through their leadership and mentoring of junior scientists. The exhibit consists of a physical display and a web site (http://history.nih.gov/exhibits/stadtman). At the launch, Dr. Arthur Kornberg, former NIH colleague and long-time friend of the Stadtmans, will present a lecture entitled, "For the Love of the Stadtmans: NIH and Enzymes." The launch event and the lecture are open to the press and public.

The Office of NIH History and the Stetten Museum are components of the Office of Communications and Public Liaison in the NIH Office of the Director. "The Stadtman Way: A Tale of Two Biochemists at NIH," was curated by Buhm Soon Park, Ph.D., Associate NIH Historian, and was produced by the Stetten Museum in collaboration with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
