Browser Requirements for MBDA.gov

How to Make MBDA.gov Your Home Page:

    JavaScript

    To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 5.x for Windows:
    1. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    2. Click the Security tab.
    3. Select one of the Web content zones whose security level is not Custom. If the security level is Custom:
      1. Click Custom Level.
      2. Under Scripting, set Active scripting to Enable or Prompt.
      3. Click OK in the Security Settings dialog box.
    4. Click OK in the Internet Options dialog box.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.
    To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 4.x for Windows:
    1. Choose Internet Options from the View menu.
    2. Click the Security tab.
    3. Select one of the Web content zones whose security level is not Custom. If the security level is Custom:
      1. Click Settings.
      2. Under Scripting, set Active scripting to Enable or Prompt.
      3. Click OK in the Security Settings dialog box.
    4. Click OK in the Internet Options dialog box.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.
    To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer for Macintosh:
    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Web Browser, select Web Content.
    3. Under Active Content, select the "Enable scripting" option.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.
    To enable JavaScript in Netscape Navigator/Communicator:
    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Category, select Advanced.
    3. Select the Enable JavaScript option.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
    Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

    Our web site has a text resizing feature that requires CSS in your browser....

    To enable Cascading Style Sheets in Internet Explorer for Windows:

    1. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    2. In the General tab, click Accessibility.
    3. Under Formatting, make sure that none of the options are selected.
    4. Under User style sheet, deselect the "Format documents using my style sheet" option.
    5. Click OK in the Accessibility dialog box.
    6. Click OK in the Internet Options dialog box.
    7. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.

    To enable Cascading Style Sheet in Internet Explorer for Macintosh:

    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Web Browser, select Web Content.
    3. Under Page Content, select the "Show style sheets", "Allow page to specify colors", and "Allow page to specify fonts" options.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.

    To enable Cascading Style Sheets in Netscape Navigator/Communicator:

    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Category, select Advanced.
    3. Select the "Enable style sheets" option.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
    Cookies

    To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 5.x for Windows:

    1. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    2. Click the Security tab.
    3. Select a Web content zone whose security level is Medium. If the security level is Custom:
      1. Click Custom Level.
      2. Under Cookies, set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to Enable or Prompt.
      3. Click OK in the Security Settings dialog box.
    4. Click OK in the Internet Options dialog box.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.

    To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 4.x for Windows:

    1. Choose Internet Options from the View menu.
    2. Click the Advanced tab.
    3. Under Security, set Cookies to anything but "Disable all cookie use".
    4. Click OK in the Internet Options dialog box.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.

    To enable cookies in Internet Explorer for Macintosh:

    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Receiving Files, select Cookies.
    3. Under Cookie Settings, set "When receiving cookies" to any option other than "Never accept."
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Refresh button to refresh the page.

    To enable cookies in Netscape Navigator/Communicator:

    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Under Category, select Advanced.
    3. Under Cookies, select either "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server."
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
