Columbia University Health Services – Chief of Administration

Health Services at Columbia (HSC) seeks a strategic thinker and leader to fill the role of Chief of Administration (COA) with one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive student health centers. The COA will provide operational leadership for all elements of HSC administrative services departments including IT, communications, HR, fiscal management, facilities management, strategic communications, health insurance, and immunization compliance.

Health Services at Columbia (HSC) seeks a strategic thinker and leader to fill the role of Chief of Administration (COA) with one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive student health centers. The COA will provide operational leadership for all elements of HSC administrative services departments including IT, communications, HR, fiscal management, facilities management, strategic communications, health insurance, and immunization compliance. Collaborate with senior staff members on strategic initiatives while ensuring operational resources are optimized and aligned with HSC and University mission.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Technology or similar. Advanced degree strongly preferred. Minimum eight (8) years senior leadership experience preferably in healthcare or university health/academic setting. Specific experience desired in strategic planning, fiscal management, IT, HR methodologies and space planning. Must possess superior written and oral communication skills with strong leadership presence and the ability to work with and provide operational management for multiple stakeholders with unique business needs.
