This University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension program trains small business owners to implement electronic commerce into their businesses. eBusiness programs provide training for online marketing, using all types of technology and communicating with buyers and sellers.

eGovernment

Nebraskans are using the internet for information, shopping and communicating, and they expect to be able to access governmental information whenever necessary. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension is offering Access e-Government training to help elected officials and governmental employees understand how use Information Technology to meet the challenges of the Information Age.

eKnowledge

References to the Internet are everywhere. Yet, many do not understand what the Internet is or how to use it. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension eKnowledge program provides an opportunity for people to learn how to navigate the Internet and use it in their everyday lives.

Farming with Computer Technology

Farmers, ranchers and agribusiness people are not exempt from using 21st Century technologies. However, using computers to manage farm operations and the Web for marketing farm products is not yet a common practice among small or large-scale farmers. Use of computers for decision-making and information analysis can be strengthened. Information technologies provide the basis for precision farming practices allowing site-specific crop management. Knowing how to gather field data, computers to analyze it, the Web to compare information and doing business online, producers can add profitability to their operations.
