Venice Kichura is a freelance writer who writes on a variety of subjects. She holds a special passion for topics relating to art and needlecrafts. She also enjoys writing about faith-based matters, especially practical articles in how to grow as a Christian.

After graduating from the University of Texas, Venice began her writing career as a feature writer for a weekly South Florida newspaper, and continued to have her articles published in both print and online publicatons. She's also worked as a substitute teacher for ten years in both Florida and Connecticut.

Besides writing non-fictional articles, Venice has written numerous flash-fiction stories by participating in the Weekly Writing Challenge, sponsored by FaithWriters.com, where she’s placed several times in the top ten winning entries, earning her six Editors’ Choice awards. Her award-winning entries have appeared in FaithWriters’ quarterly books. Authors Allison Bootke and Cheryll Hutchings featured her article, “How God Used Baby Booties” in their book “God Allows U-Turns---for Women”, published in 2006. She also writes books reviews for the Christianity section of "About.com", as well as articles for Demand Studios.

She has produced 285 articles for Associated Content, where she writes on a variety of topics.

Also, an artist, Venice specializes in pencil drawings. She has recently moved to the beautiful North Georgia Mountains with her newly retired husband, Ed. In the quaint mountain village of Dahlonega, Georgia, she finds endless inspiration for her drawings, paintings, articles, short stories, and poems.
