Privacy Statement

USCC is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the USCC Web site and governs data collection and usage. By using the USCC website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information
The USCC collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, place of business, home or work address or telephone number as part of it membership information. This information is not sold to outside vendors. The USCC does allow one-time use of that information by a vendor but does not release that information to the vendor. There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by USCC. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by USCC for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the USCC Web site. Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through USCC public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.
Note: USCC does not read any of your private online communications. The USCC encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from USCC so that you understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. The USCC is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the USCC Web site.

Use of your Personal Information
USCC collects and uses your personal information to operate the USCC website and deliver the services you have requested. USCC also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from USCC and its affiliates. USCC may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered. The USCC may, from time to time, allow member organizations/companies contact about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, the list is not given to the organization/company, but rather the USCC contracts to have the mailing done for them. Your personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, USCC may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to the USCC, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. The USCC does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.

The USCC will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on USCC or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of USCC; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of USCC, or the public.

Use of Cookies
The USCC website use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to our customers computer hard drives through their Web browser to enable our systems to recognize the customer to provide personalized features. Cookies allow the customer to take full advantage of some of the site's best features therefore, we recommend to leave them turned on. In some cases per-session cookies will be used to extend the functionality of our Web site. Per-session cookies store information within a session (or visit to our Web site). During the visit to our site the customer's browser exchanges information with our Web server. Per-session cookies facilitate this exchange by reminding the server which computer is making the request. Unlike persistent cookies, which are stored on customers hard drives for a length of time set by the Web site, per-session cookies are cached (stored in memory) while visiting the Web site and are deleted from the cache when the customer leaves our Web site. Per-session cookies are stored in memory and are only available during an active session, in other words, while customers are visiting our site. Per-session cookies do not permanently record data and are not stored on the customer's computer hard drive. Per-session cookies do not give the Web site access to anything else on the customer's system, including any private information about the customer. Cookies issued from our Web site will only be used by our Web site and we do not use cookies issued by other Web sites. The USCC collects the following type of information:

• The name of customer's Internet service provider and its IP address
• The name of customer's service provider's server
• The length of each visit
• The number of requests per visit
• Type of operating system (Windows, Macintosh, Unix, etc.)
• Browser type (Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.)

We do not link this information with any of the information voluntarily provided by the customer when they visit our site. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the USCC services or Web sites you visit.

Security of your Personal Information
USCC secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. USCC secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

USCC will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. USCC encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how USCC is protecting your information.
