Does Suite101 Imitate Life? Or Does Life Imitate Suite101?

Alex teaches gifted students, coaches a scholastic bowl team, writes, experiments with improvisational theater, and makes short films for a small circle of artists. She has been a coach, a yearbook sponsor, and worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and ages.

In addition to her current position as Feature Writer for Parenting Teens, Alex has earned four Editor's Choice Awards:

• one for an article about teenagers using credit cards,
• one for an article about parents finding common ground with their teenage daughters,
• one for a book review of The Man Who Outshone the Sun King, and
• one for an article about online tools for healthy teens.

Alex also maintains her blog on Suite 101.
