Small Agency Service & Systems Initiative (SASSI)

The Department of the Interior’s National Business Center (NBC) is proud to announce the implementation of the Small Agency Services and Systems Initiative (SASSI).

The signs are everywhere. Federal Agencies, with little exception, continue to experience budget cuts, which, in turn lead to shrinking resources. Here at the NBC we are constantly looking for ways to help our customers as they strive to meet and exceed their mission requirements. This is especially true at a time when they can least afford to dedicate resources to tasks that are not directly involved in meeting those requirements. We believe one way that we can help our customers focus resources on their mission, is to offer service and support in the areas of Human Resource Operations, Datamart (managing agency data), Payroll Operations and Training and Performance Support.

While we originally designed these service offerings with our smaller customers in mind, they are available to all customers regardless of size. Based on the nature of some of the offerings, some are only available to current NBC Federal Personnel and Payroll System customers.

We also offer services to Federal agencies that are not current NBC customers. Our Human Resource Operations staff is available to provide services on a project basis, and from our Training and Performance Support staff we offer Web Based Training development, organizational development, strategic planning, facilitation and process reengineering.
