The College offers a superb, up-to-date education in science, mathematics, and technology, with rich and varied opportunities to:

• Ensure every DSU graduate has general literacy in science, mathematics, and
technology and can apply the related skills and knowledge to benefit his/her
career, community, and personal life;

• Conduct forefront research that involves students and advances the frontiers of knowledge;

• Engage in outreach to improve science, mathematics, and technology education in K-12 schools;

• Serve the citizens and state of Delaware; and

• Partner locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to leverage resources,
increase impact, and create additional opportunities and networks that benefit
our students.

The vision of the College of Mathematics , Natural Sciences, and Technology is to be the first choice for Delaware students interested in mathematics, natural sciences, and technology, and to be widely recognized and acclaimed for excellence in teaching, research, outreach and service. Through its departments, the College offers 16 different B.S. degree programs, nine different Masters degree programs, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics. Several federally funded programs in the College provide scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students and jobs in on-campus research groups and tutoring centers. The Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP), Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC), and HBCU-UP programs are designed to engage DSU students and motivate them to high achievement in the natural sciences, computer science, mathematics, and pre-engineering—inside and outside of the classroom.

  GRADUATE STUDIES


Delaware State University offers 22 master degree programs and five doctoral programs, including four new graduate degree programs:

The Ph.D. Program in Applied Chemistry will focus on several areas of applied chemistry including polymer chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and hydrogen storage.
