The Delaware Tourism Office is preparing to open the grant applications for fiscal year 2009. The tourism grant regulations were recently updated in order to streamline the process and better serve the needs of Delaware's tourism industry.

During a press conference held today at the Ashland Nature Center, Department of Transportation (DelDOT) Secretary Carolann Wicks joined Delaware Nature Society Executive Director Michael Riska to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in support of a commitment to communication and coordination in the preservation and enhancement of the Red Clay Valley.

Governor Ruth Ann Minner announced that George Fiorile, vice president and general manager of hotel operations for Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, has been appointed as Chairman of the Tourism Advisory Board by its members.
