Eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs)
are required to publicize the availability of the Lifeline and
Link-Up support in a manner reasonably designed to reach those
likely to qualify for the support

Enhanced Lifeline and Link-Up for Tribal
lands provides qualified consumers living on Tribal lands with
additional discounts on installation and basic monthly service

Some states have taken creative approaches
and linked Lifeline and Link-Up programs and outreach to a
negotiated settlement, have mandated specific program
requirements, or incorporated specific guidelines as a piece of
a state Commission order.
