Drought monitor well needed in McKean County, PA

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is currently searching for one unused school, business, or homeowner water well in McKean County, Pennsylvania, to be incorporated into the statewide drought monitor network. The well needs to have natural ground water fluctuation and be unaffected by nearby wells or streams. The selected well will be equipped with satellite telemetry; the data with statistical summaries will be viewable in real time on USGS webpage at: http://ogw01.er.usgs.gov/rtn/StateMaps/PA.html.

If you know of a ground-water well that could be volunteered to science that may fit the above conditions, please contact: rwconger@usgs.gov.
