National Conservation Training Center
Computer Lab Information

The National Conservation Training Center maintains 3 computer labs for training. All computer workstations are networked to 2 Dell Poweredge 2600 Servers (Microsoft Windows 2003 Server as the network operating system). Each computer has a modem with an individual phone line (to emulate, when desired, a field station environment). Only eight student modems will be active at any given time. With 45 days notice, arrangements can be made to have all modems activated. An activation fee will be charged. Classes on the Internet are taught on a regular basis on these computers, so all computers are "Internet Ready". The classroom server, and all computers have connectivity to the Service Wide Area Network (SWAN), and Department of Interior Departmental administrative systems (FFS and FPPS).
