Synthesis and Assessment Products.  The Strategic Plan for the U.S. Climate Change Science Program plan calls for the creation of a series of more than 20 synthesis and assessment reports.

US Climate Action Reports (CAR). "National Communications" submitted to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, under Article 12 of the convention:

Analysis of Global Change Assessments: Lessons Learned. Report (issued 23 Feb 2007) from the National Research Council identifying "the essential elements of effective global change assessments, including strategic framing, engagement of stakeholders, credible treatment of uncertainties, and a transparent interface between policymakers and scientists." The report also reviews lessons learned from past assessments. (link posted 23 Feb 2007)

US National Assessment: The Potential Consequences of Climate Variability and Change.  Access to a large collection of material, including regional & sectoral reports, workshop proceedings, and the National Assessment's newsletter Acclimations.   The National Assessment Overview and Foundation Reports were produced  by the National Assessment Synthesis Team, an advisory committee chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, and were not subjected to OSTP's Information Quality Act Guidelines. The National Assessment was forwarded to the President and Congress in November 2000 for their consideration.

Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA).  An international project of the Arctic Council and the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), to evaluate and synthesize knowledge on climate variability, climate change, and increased ultraviolet radiation and their consequences.

Assessment of Impacts and Adaptations to Climate Change in Multiple Regions and Sectors (AIACC).  A "global initiative developed in collaboration with the UNEP/WMO Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and funded by the Global Environment Facility to advance scientific understanding of climate change vulnerabilities and adaptation options in developing countries."

Caribbean: Planning for Adaptation to Global Climate Change (CPACC) This project is designed to support the participating Caribbean countries in preparing to cope with the adverse effects of global climate change, particularly sea level rise in coastal and marine areas.

Center for Integrated Regional Assessment (CIRA)

Climate Change in Portugal: Scenarios, Impacts, and Adaptation Measures.  From SIAM (Scenarios, Impacts and Adaptation Measures).  "SIAM started work in the summer of 1999, with funding from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, FCG). The Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (Fundação da Ciência e da Tecnologia, FCT), added its support since January of 2000. The mandate is to carry out the first integrated assessment of the impacts of climate change in the country. "

Climate Change Integrated Assessment Modeling: The Model Visualization and Analysis Service.  Developed by the Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC).

Environmental and Societal Impacts Group (ESIG) of the National Center for Atmospheric Research.  "ESIG integrates societal needs with knowledge of the environment to better understand and communicate impacts of weather, climate, and global change. ESIG fosters cross-disciplinary research by bridging social and natural sciences, the humanities, and technology to inform decision-making."
