Our faculty has special strengths in African-American history, business history, diplomatic history, environmental history, medical history, medieval studies, Mexican-American history, military history, public history, social history, and women's history.
Courses are taught in a variety of formats, ranging from large lectures to small, seminar-style courses emphasizing discussion. Some courses are also taught through Distance Education.
In our commitment to developing students' critical thinking and writing skills, all classes include writing assignments, which might involve essay examinations, book reviews, or research papers.
